Libby for eBooks and Audiobooks

If you have been thinking about using Libby to download e-books or audiobooks, you’re on the right track. Libby from Overdrive is free and readily available from Azalea Regional Library System. If you have a PINES library account, you can start using Libby by going to our home page: http://www.azalealibraries.org/virtual-resources/rbdigital-to-overdrive/

Maybe you have already downloaded Libby but you clicked on this link hoping for some help with getting started. So, let’s go over some common tips for logging into Libby.


  • The first step is checking your library card status. If you don’t know your password or you’ve never used your PINES account before, start by checking the status of your library card. Expired or inactive cards will not let you log into Libby. If you’ve never had a card before, call your local library and find out what you need. Particularly, our library requires a photo ID and proof of residential address. Register for your FREE library card online at www.gapines.org/opac.

  • Once you have established your password and username on PINES, you are able to access resources on our homepage, including Libby.

  • Click the Libby tab or download the app to your device and register your account using your library card number. You can also access Libby using your browser at www.libbyapp.com

  • Click on “Choose A Location”, then click on Georgia Download Destination.

  • Enter your library card number when prompted. When searching for a library, users will need to put Azalea Regional Library System in Madison, Georgia.

  • You’re all set when you see your shelf and the Libby Icon at the bottom of your page.
