Beanstack and Upcoming Events!

Updated: Aug 21, 2021

This year, tracking and logging the books you have read will look different but summer reading has never been more fun! Beanstack.com is a new way to track books and earn your prizes during the Tails and Tales Summer Reading Challenge. Register your family on Beanstack using the information below. Download the free app to your phone for on-the-go reading and log each book to unlock challenges. There is also a great feature that allows Beanstack to recommend other books based on what you are currently reading. When you or a family member have read 10 books or 20 books, visit the library on Fridays to redeem your prizes and badge. (Congratulations!)

If you have already signed up on Beanstack, you'll notice that you can immediately start earning prizes and badges for completing various challenges, just by logging in books and tracking your progress. If you have not signed up, give us a call at 706-453-7276 and we will be happy to assist you with account registration.

Do you have a little one or a teen who loves scavenger hunts? Do you love winning prizes? If so, make plans to stop by the library and complete the Unicorn or Dragon Tail Scavenger Hunts! Below, you'll find our calendar of events but you can also sign up for email updates to receive flyers and information directly to your personal email. Click on the "Tails and Tales" logo below to sign up for email updates.

There are so many chances to win prizes at the library but did you know, if you attend programs, you'll be given a ticket at the check-in table for your chance to win one of our grand prizes baskets at the End of Summer Reading Party on July 30 at 11 AM to 2 PM!

BUT WAIT, there is so much more!

On June 24th, don't miss the Georgia Mobile Dairy Classroom at 10:00 AM in the library parking lot. No sign-up is necessary, but be sure to bring comfortable seating for you and your family. We have benches and light refreshments available.

Miss Mag's Storytime is back in-person and live at the library on Thursdays 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM for children 5 years old and younger. Please call ahead in case of any changes to Miss Mag's schedule. Your little ones can laugh, sing and play along with Miss Mag, QUEEN of all STORYTIME.

Bring your children to our various craft days and enjoy light refreshments during our main events. Have you created any of our take and make DIYs? Share a picture with us and your creation could be featured on our blog and social media pages.

Join us on July 20th for free, interactive programs with the Georgia Ag Mobile Experience at 10 AM. You will not want to miss this opportunity to get hands-on education about Georgia's Mobile Ag Experience, with partnership from the Georgia Farm Bureau. There will be a sign-up at the library coming soon so be sure to drop by or sign up for updates to stay informed. We have more great programs like this one at the library but we are missing one person: YOU!
